It's been a very busy and fun couple of weeks. I can't remember the last time I stayed so consistently busy with actual fun and not just work. And thankfully, there doesn't seem to be an end to it in the near future. Yeah, we needed a voice of reason, too. We were in first place before the final question, but blew our load on an incorrect answer. In my defense, I didn't have a clue, so I stayed out of it, but another level head might have kept us from wagering so much.

But hey, it was still fun. Not as much fun as if YOU had been there, of course!

When: July 23rd.
What: Tell you what, if I see you at POC next weekend, then I'll give you an mp3 CD that I've made for just such an occasion as this question. If I don't see you there, then I suggest looking them up on Myspace and checking out some of their music via bittorrent.

Yeah, I figured that might be the case. If you have any interest in the Static-X show or anything else where I might see you, give me a shout ahead of time, and I'll provide some "promotional material" from the band.

Hey, QuarterCon sounds FAB! And it's near my birthday. Consider me interested in going to this one - share a room, maybe?

Nov is a long way off and we've got two large cons right before it, but pencil us in and keep reminding me about it. Alternative Press Expo in Oct will be a huhyooge event (it's in San Francisco) but if we've got any scratch left after that, we're in. Since this is a drive to con, it won't cost *that* much.

I'm not sure if we've ever discussed it before, but you should be aware that it is not an actual con per se. It's just a bunch of con-folks who go to NOLA on the same weekend every year to enjoy each other's company, the weather, and of course, the city we all love so much. It's just LIKE a con, but without a centralized hotel or organized activities. The best part, though, is that we're ALL guests ( ... )
