As an example, here's my sign-up/request:
email: newyearsu@hotmail.com
What I'm Interested In Writing: I wouldn't mind following a prompt, but I do want to do something that focuses on how they fell in love or perhaps where they are going from the last movie onward.
Artwork I'm Willing To Do: I'd be happy do do a calendar, icons, banners, and/or gifs. Basically anything you can Photoshop.
What I'm Interested In Receiving: Oh, whatever you can think of that is elegant and beautiful. It can be set in their academy years, a missing part of the 2009 movie, or set after that. And I love artwork as well. Thank you! :)
Stuff I Don't Like: I love TOS Spock and Uhura, but I don't want anything with those characters or in that universe. I don't mind a bit of them in the background, if it suits you, but I'm mainly a NuSpock/NuUhura person and I really want the story to focus on them. No character bashing please, and I do not want porn. I don't mind a mature rating if it's handled tastefully, but please stay true to the characters, so no crack fics. And please, a happy ending above all. Thanks.
Stuff I Can't/Don't Want to Do: Well, I'm not good at making fanvids or doing original drawings in Illustrator yet, so I can't fill a request for those. I don't want to write porn, and I don't want to write any kind of character death (unless it's a villain).
Pinch Hit?: Yes.
Consider your requests a suggestion to your present giver because it is up to them to choose what your gift(s) will be. They may do art, or a story based off of what you said you want, or they may do something based off of what they said they want to do. I will try my best to pair people up with the best possible match, but in the end, the important thing is celebrating Spock/Uhura. :)
Please be sure to provide your email. That is how I will be contacting you with your recipient info. If you don't want other people seeing it, then you can PM me and just put a note in the email field saying "PM'd" so I know to look for it. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns, then please email me at newyearsu@hotmail.com or send me a PM, but email will be best for managing this.
Answering Yes/No to the Pinch Hit question is saying that you either will or will not step in to fill a request if for some reason another person drops out and can't complete their gift for their recipient.
Guidelines For Gifts:
If you are preparing:
A Story Only: It should be 1000 words at least, and of course it should be original, meaning written by you.
Artwork Only: You should make a minimum of a 3 month Calendar/Wallpaper if drawing from scratch, 6 months if using manipulated photos OR a 3 minute fanvid.
A Story & Artwork Combo: The Story should be original and at least 500 words and accompanied by at least: 1 icon and banner OR 1 minute fanvid OR 1 Wallpaper OR 1 month calendar. You can pick the month of the calendar, but it should probably be for March, April, or for May when STID comes out. You don't want your recipient waiting several months before they can use it. :D
Please have your gift(s) or a request for an extension emailed in by 12 midnight EST on February 7th, 2013. Pinch hit requests will start the next day if necessary, and hopefully they won't be.
That's it, and have a Happy New Year! :)
