The UST is killing me! haha But I really like what you've done with this set-up, it's not just a sudden realization for the both of them that "hey, I want you" and they kiss and get naked. Ok, ok, Spock's injured and they couldn't anyway, but still, he's fighting it (OBVIOUSLY) and so is she, and I've always sort of figured that if they didn't come to the Enterprise as an already established couple, that's how it would have to go down - they'd have to struggle with it a little first. And seriously, LOVE the whole TLC idea to force them together :D Human males are bad enough about being taken care of when they're sick b/c they want to appear tough and such, but secretly they all love it, and we know they do, so I can only imagine that a Vulcan is at least twice as bad with all their emotion-stuffing, and Spock? Well shoot, he's got both sets of genes so he's probably utterly ridiculous when it comes to that sort of thing, so it's really amusing to watch him slowly give in (I bet the painkillers help tho ;) ). Good stuff, looking

Thanks so much, I see them both as mature personalities, so they wouldn't jump, and Nyota sees Spock as unnatainable. I think although there is mutual attraction, neither one can bring themselves to think it will ever be a possibility.

Oh my goodness. This chapter was deepfried in awesome. Then dunked in awesomesauce and sprinkled with powdered awesome. (Sorry--the mocha I just finished made me a little excitable.) I love love love this chapter. I adore TOS S/U and you wrote them both so well here.

You have that mocha more often! Are you a Vulcan? Thanks very much, I really hope it wasn't too sad after the tone of the start. I think Uhura is a very kind soul, and would help anyone, rather like Spock actually.

I am loving this so much, but I'm starting to wonder what exactly Bones shot Spock full of. He's awfully talky all of a sudden! :)

Thanks! I don't think it was anything bad, but Spock is not used to painkillers, he usually does his trance, but he is a bit broken just now so not fully functioning, and I think stress and especially lack of sleep makes folks more OOC, even Vulcans.

I just love this story. Your Spock and Nyota are a reminder of why I loved them on TOS. So much grace and dignity. And that UST is so thick you would need a phaser to cut through it. I look forward to the next installment.

Thank you very much, I have been a fan since the 70's when I watched re-runs with my Dad. The UST balloon is well and truly burst next though :-)
