A wee homage to Spock in 270 words, from Uhura

Glad to read another sensual, thought-provoking vignette done with the memorable spockchick style.

As other posters have already said, those last four words make an impression -- there are plenty of TOS episodes in which Nyota isn't protected/defended/avenged/comforted (the episode 'Gamesters of Triskelion', for example...) and so it's nice to read fic with Nyota's romantic partner acting as not just lover and companion, but protector. Just because she's intelligent & capable that doesn't mean she shouldn't be protected, honored, given a bit of traditional gender role consideration sometimes.I also like the sentence about her observing & admiring him.

Aww, thanks as always Zizi. I think however feminist we are we all love protection. And the Gamesmasters of Triskelion was a major fail. Kirk leaving Uhura sprawled on the floor. Her being attacked by the Thrawl (sp?). Glad you liked - keep your eyes peeled for major crack next, for Anodyna's crack bingo prompt. I am afraid most of my stories however involve tormenting poor Scotty, but there will be one Spock and Uhura one. SC x
