I don't want to assume that that DVD extra scene is the primary writing prompt but this is a nice response to all-too-frequent characterization of the "good time gal" female character who is too often simply the butt of a joke.
I always appreciate it when writers strive to show that female characters like Gaila can be both bawdy and complex -- the real-life women such characters seem to be based upon always are, in my experience.
