I suspect that the microphone part of Rock Band is by far the easiest. (that's not a commentary on your musical prowess, just an observation) :P My cousins have the game I think. Guess I might try it at some point.

Agreed. Any non-tone-deaf person can get away with a good score on a song they know. Playing on expert mode makes it a little more challenging, but most of the songs included aren't terribly difficult.

Dude, I played Guitar Hero II while I was there, and apparently the hardest song in the game is one by Dragonforce. Yikes. It was insane.

I had heard that, yes. I believe that Dragonforce might have some of the hardest songs to play, period. :P

I once observed a friend try to play a Dragonforce song on expert. It wasn't pretty.
