She knew when she’d suggested Arizona for their shore leave that it would remind Spock of Vulcan.
As he scaled the wall above her, she had to wonder: was this a mistake? Was the reminder more painful than pleasant?
Uhura was too caught up in her thoughts; her foot grip slipped. She let out a cry and started to fall.
And then his hand, hot-blooded and strong, was around her wrist.
“You caught me,” she cried, looking up at his solemn, dusty face.
“Nyota,” he replied as he began to help her regain her grip, “I will always catch you.”
