"Transgressive with my sexuality"
what does that even MEAN?? @_@

The whole demi thing gets on my nerves too, I mean I figured out a few years ago that I wasn't into casual sex but I never thought to try to make that preference into some sort of ~alternative sexuality~ omg

I'm pretty sure we have a huge amount of positive social reinforcement behind the idea of only having sex with your OneTrueLove/soulmate, etc. And not being included in other positively-looked-at social ideas that actually have a lot of "hidden" negative baggage does not make one marginalized, no *LOL* As if everything is now sex-positive and never part of sexist rhetoric about the sexual appetites of women, and so forth.

This also reminds me of the big "liking bdsm and other kinkplay is not an oppressed sexuality" debate that happened a while back.
