I'm so bummed about this. I'm also really glad I never paid for a full year.

Yeah - not really a fan of Anonymous normally... but this time I'll make an exception.

lol yeah I'm going through the comments in the post right now. Too bad I have to go to bed because I would have loved to see what sites are going down next.

The site's founders facing up to 20 years in jail is ridiculous! People do REALLY BAD THINGS and see less time in jail.

I get that people who create shows and movies want to protect their intellectual property, but this is too far reaching. I'd rather put up with some copyright infringement than have everything shut down.
If entertainment companies were more cunning and thought ahead of the curve, they would realize that the whole delay for shows to appear in foreign countries is one of the prime reasons for downloading. I'm sure a lot more people would pay a reasonable fee. I mean, BBC iPlayer isn't available outside of the UK.
I have absolutely no qualms about getting stuff since most of the time I end up buying the DVDs but the delay is so annoying. Cable is ALL or nothing pretty much...
