Pizza... could you buy a flat-bread or thin-crust pizza and eat the amount that would keep you under 45g carbs? From what I remember that's typically 1/4 or 1/3 of the thin-crust frozen pizza, which is still...something.

I was going to suggest making your own pizza or whole wheat english muffin-type pizza. Chop up some veggies, make a little sauce with herbs & tomato paste or spag sauce (I watch the sugar & sodium on the jars now like a hawk, some are outrageous), sprinkle with a little moz. I know one of the Italian cheeses is naturally lowfat, I can't remember, but I think it's mozzarella or provolone. Anyway, then you'd get a little of that craving out of the way.

and it does pass - i changed the eating habits for different reasons (my particular diabetes situation doesn't require me to lower carbs) - just wanting less junk and more organic and whatnot - and i've started to develope a different taste.

mostly what i've done in my mind is be excited about the badassness and health in a given thing that maybe i hadn't been previously into - and after a while that seems to get in the body and make me like stuff - takes a while though.

Thanks for the tips guys.

My sweetie says she can make me a healthy pizza on a flax seed crust that's super low in carbs.

I've had this habit over the years where I start eating healthy, buying groceries, etc.
Then I get this overwhelming urge to eat fast food -- hamburgers, pizza slices, etc.
But this time around I can't just do that or I'll lose all the ground I've gained on controlling my diabetes.

I'm not used to this level of self control.
