Heh, I also consider it part of head-canon that they're out of uniform on date nights :3. And I guess for the romanticism of the evening, Spock lets the rule slide (but not too much)

Beautiful. I love Jim's tender, totally smitten look and Spock's little only-for-Jim smile. Also, the way they are touching fingers is so sweet.
