One of my late night Internet wanderings has lead me to Librivox. The one audio book I tried (a Dorothy L Sayers book) I found was read in a disjointed style that made it unlistenable-to for me (but then I'm comparing against the very high standard of the BBC) but the project looks really interesting ( Read more... )

I'm just catching up on the latest Top Gear special which I missed last night. I'm so excited I think I might wet myself.

My thoughts so far:

1. What idiot gave Clarkson a machete?
2. using the cars to rock the raft back and forth: "That's a good idea!". NO, it's an epically bad idea!

Have just finished wrapping the presents and getting things ready (and I did about 1% of the work - Lisa has done EVERYTHING else, I have NO idea how she manages!).

I've only watched about half way through this so far but it's cracking me up.

Am hungry. Have no food. One rollmop herring is really not adequate. Atlhough it was quite yummy.

ETA: I decided to take my destiny into my own hands, and go foraging. One crust, three eggs, some pepper and a dash of Tabasco later ... scrambled eggs. Omnom. There's never any smoked salmon in the house when you need it.

In other news, it's quite cold.

When I typed www.µtorrent.com into Firefox's address bar, I got:

Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at www.xn--torrent-jof.com.

How odd.

(Yes, I know you can find the popular bittorrent client at www.utorrent.com, I was just curious what would happen)
