Shit. I've been slacking again.
WorkStill a pain in the ass, cleaning up after day shift and all. Just so much bullshit now though that may be changing. It seems that people from the Iron Mountain store dislike my manager as much as I do, and they have the power to can her ass. They've said that if enough people can report on the things she's

I just finished the third mission in Heir to the Throne with a couple guys close to leveling up, and i'm looking at fourth one wondering if i can handle it. The guys in the ocean are kicking my ass, bad, and the land war looks like a problem - there's no forests for my elves left over from the previous game to hide in or anything, plus starting off land-locked makes it a bitch to figure the time of day. I'd LIKE to beat that one by offing both leaders, but not sure if i can.
THe time of day really keeps things moving, I think it's a good mechanic to avoid stalemates with. The resource management also makes it hard to sit still for any length of time.
BTW - I passed Matt the link when he asked what I was up to the other day and now he's on the sixth part of Heir to the Throne and swearing a lot.

Bay of Pearls is pretty rough. The land war is very difficult, but I thought the sea battle wasn't too bad after you get the trident. If you can kill both commanders, you get an option for the next stage. One is very hard and one is very easy.
I think Matt is on Siege of Elensefar. That one is pretty tough, but I eventually found some effective strategies for breaking into the orc's castle.
The second and third scenarios after Siege of Elensefar are both very tough, but that might be because I overspent on the scenario directly after SoE. I'm stuck on one called Valley of Death.
I downloaded the source code and scenario editor. I like this game and might want to contribute something if I can.
I'd also like to try an online game sometime.
If you ever want to see one of my replay files for a scenario you are stuck on, feel free to ask.

No instructions on wesnoth.org for windows compiling though, but bcc will probably handle it. I haven't looked to see if it's in C or C++ yet, hoping for the former though.
Well, back to bay of pearls...
