Two things!

First, Tony tends to attract supernatural shit. It happens around him because he's a wizard, and supernatural beings are drawn to him for the same reason. If a male supernatural being is gay or bisexual, odds are, they think Tony's hot. If anyone wishes to play with either of these things with their applicable characters, I am all ( Read more... )

Jennifer is from the 2009 American movie Jennifer's Body. She's a boy-eating demon, basically. Feel free to have him recognize her!

Nathan is from a still-running UK series called Misfits. He's immortal, but everyone in camp is anyway, so it's no big. Feel free to have him recognize him!

Alas, Tony wouldn't recognise either of them since he's from 2006, so they're after his time.

Raidou may be of slight interest, what with the 20+ demon familiars and all. (As an added note of possible hilarity, one of them is Dante; it's more up to Dante-mun whether it's okay to pick up on that, though, although I'd be fine with it.)

Minako... I'm actually not sure what he'd pick up about her. She does have twelve personas in her head, and she's an AU version, of sorts, of another (male) character, so there's that.

Criminal Minds started airing in 2005, so if he's into crime shows he might recognize Reid (although the hair's quite a bit longer than it was in the first season).

Haha, Raidou. ♥ I'm sure Tony could see the demons, and the fact that they follow Raidou would ping Tony if he saw them with him!

Hm, not sure. Personas are a bit outside of his realm of familiarity; I doubt he'd notice anything about her immediately, beyond maybe a "there's more to her than what I'm seeing" feeling.

I am 100% sure he's watched at least the first season! He'll probably recognise Reid after a bit of "Why does he look so familiar?!" thought.

Yeah, the personas are kind of an oddity, in that they're mystical whatsits who are physical manifestations of personality facets that manifest as mythological entities. So... yeah.

Minako is also, uh, post-game, if Tony can pick up on such things. (Have you played Persona 3? I forget.)

I have! It was my very first SMT game. Hm. Would probably get a very definite feel for "something's very strange here" then, but not really know what it was.

Goku is from Dragonball Z, which began in American in 1997.

Kaoru is a Power Ranger. Admittedly her series was just Americanized this year, 2011, buuuuut Power Rangers man. They are not hard to spot.

. . . yeah, I think he'd recognise Goku, just from cultural absorption. I doubt he's watched DBZ, he's not into animation, but. It's Goku.

Hee. Gotcha.

Tesla is from the Syfy series "Sanctuary". Apart from being Nikola Tesla, he's also a vampire. His canon started in '08, but his actor's imdb page tells me that he was in things prior to 2006; mistaken identity shenanigans are fine by me.

Kuja and Gabranth are both from video games.

Yeah, Tony's most likely to initially think of characters as their actors - he himself is in show business - until he observes them a bit and realizes "No. No, that's not someone who's just acting." So he'd think Tesla was Jonathan Young until his ability to see things for how they area told otherwise.

Permission to realize Tesla's a vampire once he figures that out? Tony knows vampires. He spent four years being one's main meal. XD

I am okay with people catching on that he's a vampire, but be forewarned that Sanctuary vampires are nothing like the 'classic' vampires, so he has none of the traditional weakness. I have an information post about Sanctuary vampires up over here.

I think Lassiter is the only one who counts! Psych began airing in 2006. It's okay to recognize him if he would have seen Psych, that and Tim (Lassiter's actor) has been in a lot of things so that could be hilarious too.

o> Actorping is most likely. Tony's in the film industry in British Columbia, which is where Psych is filmed, so . . . yeah. XD
