Well, my sister just left here a little while ago, and I think I noticed we spend almost as much time trying to speak to friends over the net and through texting for the holidays as we do for local friends and family.  So many people, not enough holiday time!   Anyway, here we had quite a time playing with re-enacting funny commerials and talking

All I know is, that movie has gotten an 18% on Rotten Tomatoes (which means something like 1 in 5 movie critics gave it a remotely positive review). So...not a movie to see. However, Watchmen in March...very much so. I'm also down for Australia because it looks all epic and sweeping and, let's face it, any costume movie with Hugh Jackman in it is a win for me. :)

Uh-oh. Well, in general I don't pay much attention to critics, not even the geek ones, because I still find there are movies I really liked that they didn't. I can't depend on those critics!
But yeah I'm gonna hold off on Day the Earth anyway. :D

I do wonder why I haven't gotten into yet Australia though. I love Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman! And I like Australia, too. ;)

Watchmen. I'm both eager and nervous. I just want to see how cool Rorschach is gonna be.

Good point! Rorschach can make or break that movie, and they don't show a lot of him in the trailers. But so far it seems visually yummy, and that appeals to my geek nature. And there are costuming opportunities there, too (though more for the guys than for the ladies).
