5.5 Questions

So I haven't ficced in over a year and I suddenly have re-found my fic mojo but of course can't find half of my Spooks DVD's. Majorly irritating. I haven't seen 5.5 for years and I can't remember much about it but my fic needs to start there

It's been a while for me, too, but I think I had it videotaped - some bits of this are still pretty clear in my mind.

I'm not sure about the boat - I assume she's getting out of London to somewhere she can sneak onto a bigger vessel or something, but I don't recall any real explanation.

Yes, Ros goes to Ruth's house to stand in as her, which is when & why they switch coats. Ruth has a shorter white coat, Ros a long black one. (I like to think Ruth is still wearing Ros's coat after she gets back.)

Scene involving tea - Harry goes to Ruth's house at the start, and I think makes her tea? Was that what you meant?

The scene with Zaf - he and Ruth sit out somewhere all night, waiting to put the plan into action. It is a lovely scene. I think Ruth asks him, if he sees her again, to at least smile in passing, even if he can't acknowledge her again, and Zaf promises he will - he smiles at all the pretty women.

(I haven't rewatched the episode in a long while to double-check, but I'm fairly certain on the general outlines.)

What is even happening. I was meant to be writing something AU and light hearted and it's gone all Book of Ruth (which is to say super depressing).
