Here's some recent ATC's I've done for eBay.  They seem to be the only paintings I can finish these days.  My "Naturalist's Wife" piece is nearly done, though.  Maybe in a few more weeks.  These ATC's are so texturally different (AND hugely different in scale!) from my regular paintings, it's hard to show them without showing an oil painting for

I have to say I really enjoy your writing on fashion--I feel like when it comes to fashion I'm on the periphery, but I dearly love good design. And I love the Dame Darcy icon!

Where do you get your ideas?

Yep, sorry--I know what that's like. I don't really know where the ideas come from. Sometimes I see or read something that sparks an idea, sometimes I just sit and my hand kinda detaches from my brain and it just happens. Sometimes I feel like I have no ideas at all.

All of these illustrations seem to tell their own story in one little image. I have seen you illustrated a book way back when, but have you ever considered illustrating your own story?
