I've been so busy.  Busy and there's a lack of super-interesting things to write about.  Christmas was mellow and I'm glad all that's over with for another year.  I should post some of the photos from Texas--interesting as always;  going back home with so much time between when I lived there and now.  It makes me feel like an anthropologist going

Wow! I don't know how you manage to do such good work on such a small scale. And you're right: that's an excellent hand. Color me impressed; green, even!

Thank you! A compliment from you is so gratifying--you've got great taste and are incredibly eloquent--I love to read your posts.
Somehow working so small is strangely freeing--it forces me to condense everything I want into a tiny format and leave out any extraneous details that would otherwise clutter it up. I get to focus on the things I REALLY like to paint (like eyes). Plus you have to get so close to really see the image--I like that intimacy.

Thank you! We're fine--it's very cold here, but we stay inside. There's so much to keep us busy, it's okay.

And I'd LOVE to go to Holland! But I don't think that would happen anytime soon.
