These are not major parties, so neither of them will really get into power, but... Fiona Patten, plz to be running the country nao kthx? And Wendy Francis... No words... Just... Wut?! I can't even rage, her views are so ridiculous!
THINK OF THE CHILDREN! OMG! It always amuses me when people don't want to talk to kids about sex. So, do they have all the facts magically dumped into their heads when they turn of age/get married? Because that's exactly what happened to me! Only not at all.
One thing that really surprised me was how civil this debate was. Sure, there was a lot of interrupting, but no one got angry (at least outwardly so). Here in the US, these things usually turn into shouting matches. It was nice watching a debate where everyone used their indoor voices ^.^
Lol, the funny thing is, the leaders of the major parties are being criticized for being too civil, to the point of not seeming passionate about anything. This debate was exciting by comparrison.
I have no idea how far along your voting is over there, and I'm all on the other side of the world, but.. wow. That Francis lady seems.. scary. One of the few times I'm happy that I don't live down under. I'd move there if Patten ever came into power, though. :)
The election was on Saturday and it resulted in a hung parliament, not between these two but between the major parties, so they're currently in the process of recounting and I guess we'll see what happens from there. As far as I know neither the Sex Party nor Family First got any seats.
