Haha, I was searching for an alternate shell for windows (explorer sucks in all its forms) when I came across this little rant at one point in time I had a site on geocites, and I once programmed myself a guest book in perl when I was running a website off my desktop computer. All that and myspace is the devil

those are better then most, but the banner just ruins it for me. it would be neat if you were allowed some say in the context of the banners displayed, and the placement of them.

I like css, it takes a bit of a head wrap, but it's very versatile, somewhere in my journal I have instructions on how to use your hosts file to point to my hosted css file that turns livejournal into an anime inspired hellsing journal. complete with alucard wilding his huge gun instead of livejournal logo :) I'll post an update after livejournal updates their layout

Minor dischordant digression

Yeah, Ian-Bob and I didn't get out to the canoing until late, we ate sushi out near the geodesic dome formally known as science world.
By the time we took the canoe out it was quite dark. I'd say it was exactly the kind of lazy labor day that god had intended for cavemen as a break from being terrorized by dinosaurs, as we all know the war on terror has been going on for the last 5,000 years, and we're at war with eastasia, never eurasia! :-) But I digress.

haha, well..I'm glad you had a good labour day, though I must say you missed QUITE the block party.
at around 6:00pm or 7:00pm, the bloody sprinklers went off. it was hilarious...everyone was running around like lost ducklings whose mother had just been shot, trying to gather their stuff up before it got totally soaked. and then (of course) the ground was wet for the rest of the evening, so everyone was standing or crouching or whatnot to avoid getting wet bums themselves.
oh man...and there was this dude who danced by rolling around on people/their heads. so bizarre! and my friend Russell cleared out the dance floor by dancing like a flaily madman...awesome.
then at the end, after TSHDT had finished playing we all jumped around on stage hitting sticks together and making noise, and some kids were rapping(?) into the microphones, so the band started playing again as background beats. It was so good!
haha, wow - this is one looooooong comment. I suppose you can glean my enthusiasm from it or something..
