Here's the thing. Even if she didn't get groped, there was no call for his behavior anyway. She got there early and was working a corner on a public street. No where on the busking permits does it say "for X hours at time." He asked her to move once, okay, but to harass her (sexually or otherwise) and go to the cops because she wasn't moving? Totally uncalled for.
And yeah, the bias of the editorial is, as you point out, sort of the point of an editorial. But they should still be well researched and well thought out. This one screamed of a writer who'd skimmed the original article thought, "busking is stupid" and wrote then a couple paragraphs on this brilliant new thesis.

Yeah, the editorial screamed of bias and possibly not understanding the nature of the hobby/job, but that's why it's an editorial.
