About the recent Klaine Kerfluffle
This is my problem with the recent kerfluffle regarding the forthcoming possible Klaine break-up.
- We don’t even know if the information is legit. So fandom, take spoilers from a “script” which, btw, has no watermark, is very easily faked (anybody can purchase the software used to produce a script and it’s not hard to make paper look old and used) with all the salt in the Atlantic ocean.
- Even if it is true, I don’t understand what the big fucking deal is. If you have a problem with people cheating, then YOU ARE WATCHING THE WRONG SHOW.
- Finchel began as cheating. Finn was with Quinn at the time. Yet, nobody batted an eye at this.
- Wemma began as cheating. Will was married to Terri. Remember her? Yet, again, nobody batted an eye.
- Puck slept with his best friend’s girlfriend, yet he got a pass because he’s Puck, and it’s fine for Puck to do that.
- Quinn and Finn cheated again while Quinn was in a relationship with Sam, yet again, nobody had an issue with this.
- Santana likely cheated on pretty much every guy she dated, justifying sleeping with Britney because she has different plumbing.
- Samcedes’ second start began as an affair.
- Kurt emotionally cheated on Blaine with Chandler, and yet, Kurt got a pass because he’s Kurt and he’s perfect.
So, given ALL that, and we still love all these characters…why is it so horrible that Blaine cheats?
You wanted Blaine to be more human? You wanted some good backstory? You wanted Klaine to be treated like every other couple?
Well, fandom, here you go.
Real couples are not always cavity-inducingly sweet. Real people get lonely, have a hard time dealing with their significant other being not only hundreds of miles away, but also seemingly not interested in their daily lives.
Blaine, here, IF this spoiler is in fact true, actually feels remorse for it, which is more than either Will, Sam, Finn, or anyone else on this show has felt. Blaine could very well have just thought about cheating, and from what we’ve seen, it appears that he’s self-flagelating over it. Furthermore, if it’s post-break-up, then there’s nothing for Blaine to actually feel guilty about. Kurt’s not his boyfriend anymore. He (might) feel guilty for even thinking about moving on.
That’s if this thing is even legit, which…come the fuck on, fandom. The story has changed. First, it was a stolen script, then it was someone who was reportedly on a set which is NOTORIOUSLY closed. Then, the girl has moved her tumblr to a non-glee blog within the hour it was posted. The post that the original spoiler came from has been deleted, and here's the kicker, ladies and gentlemen, the only other verification is a random person’s aunt?!? Are you seriously THAT fucking gullible??!?
Apparently so.
I know you all have brains. It’s time to exercise them. Use some goddamn common sense and don’t freak out on days that end in ‘y.’
