So basically where I work, everyone is a die-hard republican and hates Obama, which is fine, I'm used to that in this area, it's just at one point, we were talking about how the dogs in this neighborhood roam free and it's a hazard because they tend to be a bit dangerous sometimes.  And at one point, this guy (thinking he was being funny) goes: "

Yeah, I have no problem with Obama eating dogmeat as a kid because it was the culturally acceptable thing to do. Romney keeping a dog in a crate on the top of a car, hosing it down when it shit all over the car and then doing nothing but driving on? Yeah...I feel bad for that dog. Poor Seamus the Irish Setter. :/

Politics are the one thing I hate about living around here. Almost everyone is a right-wing nut! I'll admit it, it drives me bonkers a lot of the time, especially when you know the background of these people and they're voting against their own self interest. I'll never understand them!

Anyway, I always have to be careful what I say and not take sides in public since I'm a teacher. I'm not supposed to sway our youth one way or the other...blatantly, anyway. ;) LOL

Politics is such a derisive thing right now. It's something you have to be really careful about around here no matter what you do. I love politics, but I get exasperated with both sides right now.
