Top 50 Videogames: 17 and 16

Aug 30, 2008 22:03

As I get closer and closer to the ending, it gets tougher and tougher to get up the will to do these, since I'm getting fewer and fewer replies. WTF, guys (I say guys because apparently, based on all the responses I've gotten, no girl anywhere plays video games).

I bought MVP 2005 about two years ago for $10. Have played through 2 1/2 seasons with the Twins. It's awful nice having Matt Holliday at DH (and Johan signed to a long-term deal).

I can never decide whether to simply play as the Twins or go ultra-geek and create a team full of me and my friends. So I do both, and never end up finishing any seasons. Well, live and learn.

I would've asked who you were since I have a pretty predictable gang of regulars here, but I recognize the avatar, so never mind. And I know you feel my current pain.

I think the reason for the lack of responses is that, on LiveJournal at least, few of your friends are into video games; Deven has never much cared for them, I used to but not since, like, Pong. I don't think 'Tater cares for them...

I have never been a baseball fan, so naturally I haven't played any baseball video games.

I had a Mega Man game on Gameboy, but I'm not sure what it was called; I never got particularly good at it.

Actually, I never much expected a ton of replies here...it's that other site that's crawling with vidheads that I know. Between the two spots, I usually get a total of 15 or 20 replies...but last time, with freaking Mario, I totalled one. How the hell did that happen?

After I wrote about the lack of responses, I looked at today's lineup, and realized today might not be the day to jump out of a slump.

I've never played Mega Man but it looks like something that would be very addictive. Just like Metroid. I myself tended to play a lot of old school arcade games on MacMame while my Mac was functional.

Anyway I read these things. Hell that is why I friended you.

Just like Metroid.

Stay tuned.

Ah, yes, I know people are reading...I just like it more when it becomes a full-on discussion 'round here parts, that's all. Also, I suddenly feel close enough to the end of this list that I can imagine it ending for the first time. Crazy. What's my next list going to be, then?!??!?!

You just gave me an idea... See Im working on a list of the top twenty cover songs, but its taking a hell of a long time to write it. I'm not as quick on the keyboard as Monte is, so maybe I'll steal your format. Thanks !

BTW are you only gonna have home system type games ?

Hey, just arrived in WA after my move...now I have a bit of time for LJ (between unpacking).

By all means, use the format. It's unlikely that I was the first to use it.

As for only home games, it's funny you asked that now...you'll see why in the very next post.
