I carved out some time for gothic nesting. I'm at the expensive part however where furniture needs to be purchased. In the meantime, stuff is still getting thrown out. I'm an artist, and that means quite a few half-done-but-still-hung-on-to projects ( Read more... )

We spent this past weekend finishing up some home projects! We (finally!) finished our china hutch (painted it black, and then painted the hardware with Rustoleum "Antique Bronze" - gorgeous!), re-framed some pictures, found a new floor mat for the foyer, and a bunch of other little things. I'm very tired, but very happy XD

We sat down and went room by room and decided what we wanted each room to look like (yeah, we're doing "theme" rooms), and then it was problem by problem. Like, I could NOT stand our foyer light fixture (some ugly psychedelic glass pendant thing). I hunted for a week straight until I found something awesome (yaay, Home Depot), and it made SUCH a difference, even though the rest of the foyer is pretty bare at the moment.

But ugh, I am SO picky, it's going to take FOREVER to decorate our house!
