I saw this advertised, but only just caught it on bbc iplayer

This is probably one of the most moving things i have seen in a while. We all know what happened in the holocaust in nazi germany, but seeing it from one person tracing their family back- it really brings it home.

Indeed. What I find even worse is how the Germans allowed the Nazi's to get in and allowed themselves to get that racist. Ok, they thought the jews were going to work camps but even so...

It's why I like Die Krupps. Germans ashamed of Germany's past.

Years ago I spent time on a Kibbutz in Israel and met two very elderly ladys who survived the concentrations camps. One of the other people who lived there translated between us they stories still stay with me today :(

I missed the Who do you think you are yesterday but will definately try and catch on Iplayer :) x

I actually watched that one straight after for some light relief. You can`t help but like old bumbling Bozzer- i laughed when he described someone getting into bother as "getting their tit caught in the mangle" over something! Very entertaining viewing!

I met a few elderly Jewish women in Skokie (Chicago suburb) and the stories they told made you cry.

I find it hard enough to have my family on the other side of the ocean. I can't imagine never seeing them ever again!
