cool photo! My digital camera doesn't have enough zoom to get a good pic.

Lunar eclipses are kind of ho-hum to me but I usually go out and view them just out of a sense of astronomical obligation. :) I'm really glad I did this time, because just a minute or two after I stepped outside to look at the newly-full eclipse I saw a meteor zing by not 5 degrees away from the full moon. I'd wager it's an event rare enough (normally the moon would completely wash out any meteors that close) that only a handful of people in the world have ever witnessed it. It was extremely cool.

Thanks! It's a five-second exposure with most of the other settings on auto. I know bupkes about photography. :)

Those are awesome pictures! I was thinking of you when we went outside and looked. I bet you had an even better view with your nice telescope and everything!
