Gotcha

It took a year and a half, a new moon, 45 minutes of adaptation to the dark, and nearly perfect atmospherics, but I finally and conclusively spotted the elusive M33. The equipment: a plain old pair of 7x50 binoculars.

Wait.. wait.. You were also using a tripod of some sort to hold those binoculars.. right?

Nope. I do have a little tripod, but I made the ID while leaning back in a deck chair.
