This HP friending meme, is kind of fun to look through, but OMG I'm only on page 2 yet. ARGH! This also made me realize I've to modify my filters, so that I can catch up with my f-list without going berserk. I don't think you'll get much of a feel for the book through the movie, the mood differs to much. I think they tried to make it so dramatic that it got silly. Usually I don't sit trying not to giggle during action/fantasy movies. Some pretty scenes though and you get some of the basic storyline

Too much Star Wars and LotR! *does a high five* That's what I thought too when I saw it. Especially LotR during the scene where Eragon and that cool man who sadly died *tries to remember name* rode over some mountain tops and it was all filmed from above. For one moment I thought it was Aragon, Legolas and Gimli who were running over the hills.

I've read both Eragon and Eldest, and I rather disliked both of them, so I probably won't be seeing the movie anytime soon. The ratings were pretty bad too...
