No, seriously, love how you write Sam's anxiety and desperation here when he can't hide what he is and all the possibilities that must be running through his mind, Jess's loving perception and skill at smoothing his transition back to normal.

I really like this. You had Jess' POV down wonderfully, and I loved the hints of Sam's past life that camping brought up, particularly the mentions of other roasts that he took part in. Jessica's distinction between her Sam and Other Sam were also spot-on.

I think this probably captures very well the strangeness that had to be a part of Jess's relationship with Sam. You did a great job on this, it felt really real!

Aw, I'm gonna cry. That was so sweet. I love Jess's perspective on Other Sam and Everyday Sam, and the way she knows just how to help without prying too much.
