You leave me wishing that the two old dears did get away with it and the BMW man gets sent to forced labour or something...

as Lyssa says, you should be putting those stories into a book...

can i pick your brain on something? I don't know if yopu'd know this but i thought it was worth a try..

our frined committed suicide a couple of months ago. he left steve as the executor of his will, and he'd been to the solicitors to have it drawn up etc. The solicitor has been handling everything about his estate, and has now billed steve £6500, which they hadn't warned us about prior to doing the work, otherwise we'd have found somebody else to do it. Is he legally obliged to pay it? We're supposed to go and pick up some things that our friend left to us on wednesday - if we pick up this stuff (what is left of his estate) does that make us liable for the charges? The solicitor is being very cagey about it and I don't trust her; steve has been too upset to query what she's been doing on his behalf up till this point and i only found out about the charges yesterday..

can you advise me? If you don't know, could you point me at some resources?

sorry you're probably sick of work related queries!

bekki x
