so a lot is goin on in the life of richie carrada right meow. i met somebody amazing. im playing bass in a band. i have a new job, as a photographer. and i have a shitload of school work which i have shirked since day fucking one. i dont care about the last part. fuck it. a piece of paper does not make me who i am. im having a blast though and

I'm glad to see you're feeling good about things and what not, and I really hope it lasts a long while.
As far as school goes...it shouldn't make you who you are in the way that you're thinking. You're supposed to go into college and take from it what you want to by taking the classes that are of interest and meaningful to you and finding yourself by trying new things among those classes to discover what you really want out of life. If you don't do that, the piece of paper is as meaningless as you're expecting it to be and if you never give it the chance to hold any meaning thats totally on you anyways. but thats just my opinion and you probably don't care to hear it anyways. I think you'll be fine either way.

no but I know I felt the same way you did when I was at the point you are in college. and now I'm closer to the end of it, and because I've kinda branched out into things that are actually of interest to me, and I've had meaningful experiences through it, my mind has changed on the usefulness in general. its not about the piece of paper...its about the work you do to get the piece of paper, and it only defines you if you let it.
