on the other hand, putting it in a zoo would have decreased its chances of being eaten, which is amazing as it was already a lottery winner for having survived to this point. Usually, that is the goal for saving such anomalies in zoos and what not. In the wild they often have a really hard time surviving and mating.

I worked at a zoo for a while and they had an albino peacock. Poor thing. All the girls (peahens) just ignored his blank displays. He would be so totally dead in the wild.

Need I even say it? Circle of life man. =P Actually I don't oppose breding animals into captivity for zoos and such, but I don't like taking animals out of the wild for those reasons. Wild animals belong in the wild for the most part as far as I'm concerned. I hope they at least ate that catfish so it wasn't a total waste.
