I was talking to my dad last night, and we were talking about dogs. It's been 3 years now since my little snow dog had to be put to sleep, but we haven't gotten a new pet. There are a few reasons: 1) When the husband agreed to having a dog, which he didn't want, I promised that I would never ask for another pet -- I just thought it was important

I'm starting to think of things like this, unfortunately. Turning 50 didn't bother me much at all, but lately I've thought about how quickly the last 20-30 years seems to have passed (especially because Megan turns 30 in January). It occurs to me that the next 20-30 may go by even faster.
