Quick drive by post but wanted to do some updates. The. Ig news in my world is we bought a little travel trailer. Oh my gosh this is like my dream come true ha ha! Looks great!!

My parents used to go camping (and took us until I was 5) but then bought the cottage so I never got that experience. Sounds like a nice relaxing time. I went camping w friends one time about 8 years ago...I think i'd like having a bathroom in the camper. ;)

The bathroom is KEY!!! I pee like 10 times a night so going behind a bush was not an option anymore - so over that! :p If I had a cottage in the mountains though I think I would definitely be game for that! :p

Camping sounds so much more fun with one of those bad boys! Love it. :)
Nice kitchen reno! What color are the walls? So hard to figure out a backsplash as you don't want it too "busy" since the countertops have so much pattern in them.
Happy birthday to Boo! Papi turns 7 this summer too and is getting a few gray hairs on his chin. It's amazing how fast time goes by!

DEFINITELY ups the enjoyment factor! :) So the walls in the kitchen are DARK but its open to the den which is a cream colored wall so I was thinking something simple and cream like you mention. Something to not clash with the busy granite...*shrug* Maybe a travertine?

Im sad our babies are getting older...like really sad. Thinking of getting a puppy but remember your "threes a crowd" argument! :p

It's crazy, I get puppy fever all.the.time!!! I keep reminding myself about how it was with three. Not that having a third would definitely be bad news, as I really think it was Jagger's demeanor from the get-go to be the alpha. But, it was so hard and that much more expensive. But I do love puppies! I want to be a puppy-sitter! :)
Does Boo have any gray hairs yet? Papi just started sprouting a few on his chin, so that makes me sad. He's still full of it though, still had puppy in him at times.
Have a great trip to Flagstaff!

Congrats on the purchase!!!

For the back splash I would recommend some type of tile mosiac....they always look so beautiful. My first choice would be subway tile but I'm not sure how that would look with white cabinets.

I AGREE! I love those. Especially when they have some glass in them or some other materials. So pretty! I am going to go look as I think I want to stick to simple colors but maybe different textures?

So I could totally smell the trees for a minute as soon as I saw them through the window in the camper... Apparently I need to get my butt back up to Flag soon. :o)

Love the cabinets! No idea for suggestion on the backsplash... Maybe something lighter since the walls are dark and I HATE dark kitchens, but not sure what would look nice against the granite.

Ahhh Flag - home away from home. I think I could call myself a part time resident these days! I go EVERY weekend and work 4-10's to spend 3 days up there a week! HA HA! I just love it there in the summers. Such good memories...

I agree. I dont know why they did the kitchen that way, luckily it is open to our great room that has tan walls and MASSIVE windows. But I am TRYING to lighten it up as much as possible...

How did you paint them? What kind of paint did you use? Was it hard?

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. LOVE LOVE LOVE. SO EASY! Two coats paint, wax - DONE! I have used it on dressers, bathroom cabinets and now in the kitchen. Addicted to the stuff!
