Colleen McMurphy woke in the night with a warm body beside her and a feeling of confusion. She was aware of the theory that being faced with death often caused people to do things in order to feel alive. The ‘don’t put off today what you may not be alive to do tomorrow’ concept was very familiar in Vietnam.

I loved China Beach and Dana Delaney. Had some very enjoyable dreams involving her way back then:) Kind of disconcerting at the time, I think it was the first inkling I had in my mind that I might just be a little bit gay!:)

I was hoping for a continuation cuz I'm curious how McMurphy's gonna react. KC is kind of an experienced individual and in my mind, this probably wouldn't be her first time waking up in bed with a woman. Colleen though...I think it would blow her out of the water.

I look forward to another short, even if it's not a "what happens next" story. :)
