House Concert with Eileen McGann!

I have been a big fan of Eileen's for years but this was the first time I got to hear her in such an intimate and close setting. She is another one of those artists like Keelaghan, that I immediately felt a connection to and was drawn into there musical world. Loved her stories and getting to chat with her a bit and she wants to hear our version of her Medusa when we finish recording it.

Medusa is one of my favorities and I requested it along with one of my other favorites "Requiem (For the Giants).
She mentioned that she loves hearing covers of her songs.

She mentioned Pondside - I envy you! I had only seen her live before at the Mill Race Folk Festival several years ago. I added my name to her mailing list, so I won't miss any future opportunities to hear her sing (and I've loaded up my ipod with my new CDs!)

If that's the same "Medusa" which Mew sometimes sings (the one in which Medusa voluntarily ends her own misery), it's a great song.

yes... Eileen has long been my fav female folk singer and her art is lovely. David K is also a very talented musician and we were thrilled to host him at Pondside some years ago.
