That's really great. I've been searching the internet on how to use effects on a live meeting and your article has a great cover on this.
I have some familiarity with V4L2 but the key here is the video editor that feeds a virtual device.
I am using Mint and I'll probably stumble on OBS installation. I didn't know this software but I guess it is worth a shot, since you gave all directions.
And I take this as a start point. My goal is not just the keying effect, but totally spice up the video streaming with the fanciest effects (and that also works in Chrome, preferably).
