"Optimism hit - "Maybe I'll die before Monday"" - hahahahahahahaha! Thank you, I think I just died laughing and tomorrow is Monday and I would have had to go back to my job.

When I started at my new job about a year ago, I was PETRIFIED, because all I ever heard were constant horror stories about our sister hospital. Not even just our department (although there was plenty said about our department," but there is a well-known saying within my old hospital: "If it were easy, they'd take it to [sister hospital]." It's ridiculous because they are both world-class institutions, and if one is really considered better than the other it is as much due to name recognition as anything, but it is what it is and I was so miserable about leaving my home turf.

Having said that, I am ten million times happier now.

Could you go over for like a full week? It might help you more if you just jump right in, especially if you know you don't have to stay forever if you don't want to. Give you a chance to get to know the people, see how the atmosphere has changed. Also you won't have six full days to dwell on all the reasons why you don't want to go.

At last something to read. I have missed those fingers of yours on the keyboard. That being said... I am VERY proud of you for facing your hatred and attempting to work through it. I have a feeling YOU are the one that brings happiness to the place and the more often you make an appearance, the more you will be able to make it your own kingdom. Those working at "Hell" are in for a treat having you there and with the new (old) stomping grounds, will come NEW stories and new characters to name and talk about. I am excited to hear about the new adventures. Specially the golf carts- there were no carts at the old place! I already have Cart envy!
Now I need to hear about the scar and near death of Hell.
