I love that radio play. I got in on a CD along with a book about the various adaptations of WotW.

I've never heard it but I bet it's amazing. My dad got the musical version on CD when I was in high school.

Hah, I remember this! As wonderful a gauge of human gullibility as the "pasta tree" correspondences.

I suppose there's an element of understandability with this, it being just before the second world war, and with radio being a comparatively new invention...
