Yeah, for United, ya need to fly 100,000 miles a year (maybe 50,000 would do it too), and I can bring up to 75 lbs/case without charge and up to 3 checked trunks. Of course, it woulda been slightly cheaper ticket to fly southwest, but the extra luggage more than makes up for the $25 difference... and when flying to Eurofurence, it is a very big deal to have the luggage allowance/
Yeah, I can imagine - it must be quite a boon for international travel.
Heh, 100k miles per year. I imagine it's not actually that much for you, but I haven't flown that much in my entire life to date, and may not for the rest of my life, either. :)
There was a time I was at 250,000/year of air travel. Now THAT was a lot. (like: redeye calif to new york and then go back 6 hours later, twice a month) + other travel + 6 trips to Europe/year)
