A major event in physics, and something I wrote a limerick about a decade ago. Here's my rhyme:

There once was a decaying boson
That Higgs had in times past supposed-on.
It flew through the air,
Then split into a pair,
Of particles that we all call photons.

Yay science!

True story (really).

My sister was in bed, petting her cat. Her BF said to her: "can I have what cat's getting?" Of course, petting led to sex.

Her BF then quips "Hope you didn't do THAT to the cat!"
