Thanksgiving and news both sad and good

I had Thanksgiving at the Buckets this year. It was nice to finally get to meet them. I really liked Charlie's mom. She is very kind and does what is needed for her family. I liked the whole family really. Grandma Georgina made me laugh a few times and Grandpa George is not afraid to speak his mind. Grandpa Joe is such a lovely person and so ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about L and Watari. They were good cats. Sayo's been looking for them since you left. I'm sure he's going to miss them too. I'm sorry. Let me know if I can do anything to help, Sammy.

When I get back we can go drinking. A night out will help some. *sighs* I am going to have to explain this to Willy and something tells me it will not be easy. *shrugs* Oh well I will be ok. I just hope I do not confuse him.

*looks down* Yea that is true. I will always have memories of them as well. I think I will do a service for them. I have their ashes in little urnes so I will scatter them somewhere they liked to walk when they were alive.

Yes they were wonderful cats. The apartment will seem empty without them. *looks away to wipe a tear from her eye* I had them for so long. It will be weird without them around.

They will be missed but we will always have the memories of them with us. I am going to do a memorial for them. I have their ashes so I will scatter then on the morning walk route I use to take with them. Everyone can come and say their goodbyes.

Your cats died? Oh wow! I'm really sorry! That must be hard.

It is hard and I will miss them but they are no longer in pain. They both had good lives and I am glad I they were in my life even for the brief time they were in it.

Ten years isn't a long life for a cat, though, right? and for both of them to die at once seems really, really weird. Are you sure everything's okay over there?

Actually when I got them they were already grown cats. Watari was 4 and L was 3 so they were 13 and 14 when they died. I have heard of pets that lived together dying around the same time as the other. I think it's because they miss their companion or something like that. (ooc: I had a black cat named Kiser that had to be put to sleep when he was around 10 because he was acting really strange and getting very ill so it is not uncommon)
