Cell phone question

I've been thinking of changing my number to the Portland area code. Is there a way where you can have a grace period when both the new and old numbers will reach your cell phone? Then I can have a message saying on such-and-such date, only such-and-such number will connect to me? I have AT&T.

Uh, I'm not sure. but since it came up...my number is seven13, fourfoursix, 6610. Call me so we can get together Sunday. :)

There was absolutly no way in 2006 when I tried. The even f**ked it up when I paid them for two numbers.

I have an old AT&T razor, you could just get a new number and keep the old one with vm and use that old phone to activate a new number/account

I know I've called people that had that, but I'm not sure what the service is called. You might just want to stop by an ATT store to ask them. I wouldn't call customer service, as that sort of thing doesn't come across well over the phone.
