Yes. It's one of my favorite pieces of all time. I have a recording of Siegfried Sassoon reading some of his own poetry about WW1 in the 1960s, interspersed with excerpt of a contemporary BBC recording of War Requiem.

I'm much better at this kind of prose than I am at fiction or poetry.

I wish I had more of a talent when it came to describing others' feelings and emotions. *shrug* But we must deal with what we are given, no?
