So my whole goal of posting more here immediately failed though that's largely due to Electronic Arts sucking. I was supposed to get a copy of Dragon Age II with enough time to play and turn in my review by March 7. Then I learned that they hadn't sent me a copy yet on March 2. I was told I'd get one on March 7 so the plan was to play as much as

Here's perhaps a silly question.

What amount of time and progress do you feel you need to spend with a game before it's time to review it? I mean, a book, you read the book, a movie, you watch a movie, but a game isn't so compact in terms of time. Especially if it's a hard one to beat.

Do you give yourself times or goals to match to ensure that you've given the game its proverbial due process on court, or is it by feel, an "okay, I get this now."
