Everyone loves nice weather

Normally I associate spring with a lot of cold rain and admiring the budding plants from the safety of indoors. But this year spring feels a lot like summer. It's 80 degrees, plants are popping up everywhere and everyone just seems to be embracing the weather and talking nonstop about how nice it is and how easy we got off this year since the ( Read more... )

In District 12 they don't even have lemons.

I love "Customers! Assume formation!" and will steal it for a movie.

Ha. I guess you didn't come up to the walk, because Chris and Sarah and Bob and I were all standing out front talking when Kevin walked up.

What did the cat that approached you look like? There's a white cat named Apollo that sometimes joins up when I'm walking down near the lake with someone. Once he followed me and Sarah for a mile. We know his name is Apollo because he's such a clean, well-kept cat that Sarah worried he'd gotten outside accidentally. So we nabbed him and checked his tag, and it said something like "My name is Apollo, and yes, I'm an indoor/outdoor cat, I live at such-and-such address." He's super-friendly, but mostly he seems interested in joining us for walks rather than lying around betting petted.

Yeah, we parted ways on the corner before there but Kevin gave me the book you had for me so thanks.

Definitely not the same cat. This one was a calico and she just had a pink collar without a tag. I want to meet this Apollo though. A mile is quite the walk for a cat. I had a cat when I was a kid who would follow me from my house to the park but that was just a few blocks.

It was a ridiculously long way for a cat to follow us. We kept turning back to look, especially when we crossed streets. I've run across him three times since then, but he's never followed more than a block or two since. Once it seemed like he was ready for another long walk, and then we came around a corner and ran into a small yappy dog, and he was done for the night.

I'm tickled by the lemonade-sellers. I've never seen anything like that in the neighborhood.
