1. I sent you a letter.
2. What kind of deck do you have?
3. Lately, I think we all feel that change is coming.

2. faeries oracle art by brian froud. i'm also working on learning the waite deck for posterity.
3. i've had that feeling off and on for a few years now. of course theres always the argument that people have felt the same thing for all history. maybe i'm stubborn. who knows.

i've also been meaning to get a waite deck. do you have a specific lay-out you use? i'm partial to the celtic cross myself.
i get excited when i have someone to talk to about tarot. i don't know anyone else who does it so i'm usually met with stupid questions and naive people who want to know who their next boyfriend will be or if they're going to be rich and famous some day. i can't blame them i suppose. it's just nice to have someone to talk to.
love.

i'm digging into the waite deck via this book 'jung and the tarot' and looking at the major arcana through the idea of jung's archetypes; but to tell the truth, i've never been into conventional spreads, or decks, or any of that. i love the celtic cross and use it when i want to back something up a little more clearly, but the growth spurt that i went through using these cards i have now and the message that comes along with the cards leaves me with precious little meaningful and useful structure, so my spreads usually end up looking kind of funny compared with the cross. or the key. i like the key, too. i got the idea from the book to my dad's deck, which is the osho.. wait, is it osho... crap, i can't remember. i'm, kind of tiddly. i want to say osho. osho zen tarot. it's got elements in place of the suits, and its major arcana are very zen. i love that deck too. (we have four decks in our house, soon to be five! i cant wait until you visit, then it'll be six. hah!) it's been a while since i used it, though, so i can't remember. but ( ... )
