Actually that was probably a pretty good reason.

But before Cable could get up to scoop Jan up and see what the hell he was here for, the girl had ran at the man already. Or waddled. As fast as her legs could. "JAM!"
This wasn't because she knew Jamie's name, mind. She just liked jam.

"Any dimension I might have heard of?" Cable inquired, keeping his eagle eyes on the both of them.

Jamie stopped as... something like an electrical current jolted through his arm and up to his head. He pulled his finger away from Jan and slapped his head out of reflex letting out a grunt of surprise.
"What the hell was that?"

That was helpful, Cable. He was still watching Jamie carefully.
Maybe it was the time energy discrepancy; or whatever powers were locked up in her body, bubbling back up to the surface.

Cable had clearly been spending too much time with Deadpool.
He tilted his head. "It could be something residual from the island." He didn't bother to ask Jamie if he'd left the island to do anything lately; he'd have found out.
