Because this shit is still in my damned head. Damn you, NCIS + crack, damn you to the Air Force Academy and back!

During the dinner party

Tony bowed to Miss David and walked out onto the balcony, taking in a large breath of fresh air. Dancing was difficult work, no matter how easy Tony made it look for Timothy. He smiled, thinking of Timothy, softly muttering as he sipped his wine, "Two dances with Miss Scuito. Oh very good, Timothy."

"Additionally, he trice brought her punch."

Tony quickly turned, finding Mr. Gibbs leaning against the stone railing. "How do you do that?"

A small uptwist to his lip was all the response Tony received to the question, no more than he expected but exasperating nonetheless. "He didn't even spill it on her gown. You've done well preparing him, Tony." Gibbs walked over, still in shadow of the window. Tony watched him take a large swallow of wine, his cravat bobbing as he swallowed. "And you...you had a dance with Miss David."

Tony chuckled. "Only one, however. But! She has agreed to come to tea tomorrow at Huntington. Father is rather delighted."

Gibbs' head turned, looking out over the forest. "I'm sure he is."

There was something in his tone... Tony moved closer, "It is perfectly proper for her to come to tea. Dear Mr. Mallard is coming as well, and, of course, I shall have Timothy in attendance."

Gibbs didn't turn to look at Tony, swallowing more wine. "Of course."

Tony still didn't like Gibbs' tone or the fact that he wasn't looking at him. "Do you think I should invite Miss Scuito as well?"

"Sounds like a regular tea party." Gibbs turned at that, staring at Tony. "Doubt you'll have time for riding tomorrow."

Ah, that was it. "Dear Mr. Gibbs, we ride at 11; tea is not until 3. Of course I'll keep my commitment to our engagement!" Tony stepped closer, chuckling softly. "I still have to beat you over that hill past the meadow on your lands." Gibbs was a man of structure; he wouldn't like the thought of Tony missing a planned outing. Tony was rather proud of himself for figuring it out.
